Wow, what can I say? The iPhone U-Haul app completely failed its purpose, leading us on a 2-day experience I will never repeat.
Meaning, I will never use U-Haul for any services again.
Let your application developers figure out how to better validate a customer and provide another way to use the app to GPS track the customer. FAIL FAIL FAIL.

I need help. I lost over 150,000 through U-Haul's gross negligence.
I had a storage shelter in Homestead, Florida, and one that I moved to Key Largo, Florida. I was placed in a broken storage unit that mine was given away, which they told me they had. The door was broken, and there was black mold throughout the whole thing. I was taken away in an ambulance; the storage unit properly given to me was given away before my arrival.
Linda and Nathan both witnessed everything in the crimes that happened against me. I reached out to Joe; his office responded and never responded back when I sent them all the proof of my lost pictures and witnesses. This needs to be remedied. I have tried to reach out to several of your emails, and none of them are coming through to you.
I am in Africa; I can only be reached via email. I will not sit down and take such great losses of over $150,000. My way of making a living was in those storage sheds, and one went to auction that should have never happened. This was not my error; it was an error of U-Haul and incompetent management by Mario in Key Largo.
I was unable to be reached because every way I had to make a dollar or money, which I made $200 an hour, was all destroyed through mold. I'm very allergic to it. Please reach out to me as soon as possible at chezadams@***.com. My storage was in Homestead in November of '23 and then one moved to Key Largo in the Florida Keys in January.
All my paperwork was destroyed by the mold; I do have pictures and witnesses. Please look up my contracts and help me start the process. Thank you very much. I can be reached on WhatsApp at the number below, and texts are preferred on WhatsApp for me.

This has been one of the worst experiences weve ever had with a company. We will never rent from U-Haul again.
We rented a 26 moving truck to move from Utah to California.
Only 300 miles into our trip, two tires blew out due to being worn and unsafe. It happened on a dangerous, winding canyon road putting our lives at risk. The police had to come to protect us and divert traffic. They even had to call the Department of Transportation and a towing company because the truck couldnt be left where it was.
U-Hauls roadside assistance was a nightmare.
They took hours to respond and argued about paying for the tow because it wasnt one of their preferred companies even though the police said we had no choice. We were told if we didnt agree, the truck would be impounded for the weekend. After endless back-and-forth, U-Haul finally allowed us to be towed to the nearest city.
Once there, the problems continued. Dozens of tire shops were available, but U-Haul insisted on using only one vendor who couldnt come for another three hours.
The customer service representative assigned to our case was incredibly difficult to work with. After hours of stress, they finally agreed to pay for a hotel room. We walked there only to find out they never actually booked it. We waited 45 minutes in the lobby while the rep sorted it out.
Then, she offered to DoorDash food for us, but never followed through she even claimed the restaurant was closed when it wasnt. We ended up stranded, hungry, and exhausted.
This experience has been completely unacceptable. Sitting on the side of the road for hours in dangerous conditions because of U-Hauls poor maintenance and customer service is inexcusable.
The tires on this truck are still dangerously worn, and we are genuinely anxious about the rest of the trip.
Please look into other companies for your moving needs. U-Hauls lack of safety, responsibility, and compassion has been beyond disappointing.

I have 250 million social media followers. I am going to destroy the U-Haul name because of the lack of care, customer service, and value that U-Haul has sworn to uphold for their customers and consumers.
My wife walked around a pouring rain parking lot for 30 minutes looking for the vehicle, and none of your employees would help us. I'm gonna make this known to the world unless I receive minimal compensation for this inconvenience and meet moving my family 5 miles in the Milton, Florida area.

Uhaul Fraudulent Charges
On December 6th I rented a truck through the eight hundred number for u haul reservations. The movers Goodwin And Friends we're total scam artists and taking advantage of me being a single woman disabled.
Eat up my time so that they could charge me extra time steal and Damage things. So I let you Uhaul know about the situation! Also, the movers dot help people that are a third party in hiring these movers. I was scheduled for 2 hours at the old place.
2 hours at the new plates, I didn't feel comfortable with bringing these people to my new home. So I gave them the cold that you held provided so that they could get paid their money. I had to hire another set of movers above average movers with good , they got this twenty six foot truck unloaded within one hour. When I called U-Haul and explain to them what the situation was, it was a number in Atlanta, corporate office.
If you will, the guy told me that because of what I had gone through and the movers left a lot behind me to do that, they would extend the truck out. From Sunday till Wednesday. So when I took the truck back that evening so I could get my vehicle and not run extra mileage because I had errands to run, I let the guy at the U-Haul, please, no. And he says, oh I know it's in the computer.
Now, this is concerning the extension of the truck. So I returned the truck on Wednesday, put gas in it, did everything I was supposed to do. The guy checked the truck out and said everything was fine with that being said, I needed a little bitty baby U-Haul for 1999A day and went to go pick the truck up. On that following sunday , when I got there , they're talking about , they couldn't rent to me because how owe them money, I said how?
I said those chargers in my bank shows that it came off.\n I said, now, unless you're trying to charge me for the truck rental from Sunday to Wednesday, which they said they were giving me a courtesy, then I could see were that would be, and that's what exactly happened.
They gave me a courtesy now they're harassing me saying I owe them money for the courtesy that they gave me, uhaule is always up to something nefarious, so don't use you home, try to find a better moving company, you'd be better off hiring friends. If you have any or family that are willing to help

I have been using. This particular U-haul on ogichi road, located at 38 0 2 ogichi road, Savannah, Georgia.
Enjoy watching well. They have a general manager who is full of his self named Ken Freeman. I always always fill that truck up with gas. So I will not be charged $5 a gallon.
A friend was waiting on me to give me a ride back since that this particular day. I did not leave my car there. So I called him and told him I'm up the street. Let me just top off the gas that I use from the old residency 2.
The U-haul place. But. As men like to rush women some man do I call myself? Taking a picture.
Of the gas gauge. I proceeded to check out. I went inside to do so I told these stupid young clerks that was there. When you come out, check the gas gauge.
Here's my receipt from the gas. Would you like to look forward? Oh no, it's OK, it's all right, everything's fine. OK, so then when I go back to try to rent another U-haul truck.
Will they have sent me a message before? Then? Talk to about how old and $90. Of the opening $90 for what for gas instead of you kidding me.
I filled the the truck up with gas now. Will you take a picture with this stupid cellphones? If you're not some kind of way, if you're too close or something, it won't save that picture. I was under the impression that it had saved it.
So when? They told me I'll do the $90. I was leave it because I know that I was honest and I know what I had done I went who this Ken Freeman who is the general manager and hateful at his self? I went through customer service part of U-haul.
I did everything I could to get my and get them to. You know, erect to find this problem? Why would I offer and why did I have the receipt for it if? But they wouldn't consider.
It. I just don't understand so. Watch them very carefully. Take a picture of your gas mileage.
Take a picture of your. Your gas gauge, make sure it's appropriate and on point and correct before you pull off. Do this as well when you come back because. They're in the business this man.
Is this general manager after I spent thousands of dollars rent and trucks from them now, the previous managers that they had excellent. No problem, but this Burke refused to auto that and said. I would not be able to rent any trucks from U-haul anywhere ever unless I paid that $90 fee.
Are you kidding me? So not only was I out of the money that it cost me for the mileage and all that other stuff and a gas that I had put in there plus an extra $90 to appease these idiots, watch yourself carefully watch your money carefully after COVID people lost their mind and all they're thinking about is however, they can steal money from you period.

Disrespectful/Dismissive Employees
On April 27th 2025 we rented a 10' truck to move some items. Upon arrival the person behind the counter wasn't able to check us in because of a computer issue.
After 15 minutes he went outside to ask the manager for assistance. Obviously the manager's freshly lit cigarette was more important than a customer. (which he was smoking directly in front of the entrance door) When he had finished with the cigarette he did come in a correct the computer issue. After the paper work was complete we went to the truck, where I immediately noticed damage to the side of the vehicle and the mirror along with it not being full of fuel.
I returned to the office to report the damage, the manager seem bothered that I had interrupted what he was doing on his phone. He reluctantly walked to the truck with me where he pointed out a marking on the truck and said the damage had been reported, when I showed him the fuel gauge he stated that was the normal position. We drove the truck exactly seven (7) miles. It took three (3) gallons to fill the truck which calculates to 0.428 mile per gallon.
When we returned I pointed this out and was told I must have made a mistake. Now I'm FURIOUS, I slid the fuel receipt across the counter and I barked, "I guess I can't read either"! I am a 67 year old Disabled Vietnam Vet and have NEVER been treated with such CONTEMPT and lack of respect. As I left, I turned and barked, "JUST REMEBER THAT A HAPPY CUSTOMER TELLS A FRIEND, AN UNHAPPY CUSTOMER TELLS THE WORLD!"
It is not the $10 I'm upset about, it is the treatment we were subjected to.
I had been a loyal customer of Uhaul since 1979, that ended Sunday April27,2025. things haven't always been smooth but I had never been treated in such a manner

Nothing was addressed
I gave my sister and niece my furniture. I did not want to get stuck in traffic, and my sister agreed to take back the U-Haul truck with a full tank of gas after she and my nephew were done unloading the furniture. I told the front desk lady before I took the truck from the lot that my sister and nephew were bringing back the truck. She stated it was fine.
I guesstimated 20 miles of use.
It was less than 20, and the tank was full. They tried to charge me 68 extra dollars even though all was well within the limits and it was clean. My sister's English is not good at all, but my nephew's English is excellent.
They tried to overcharge me, and he stated nicely that all is well within the contract, and the young Caucasian male who was at the front desk was very unprofessional, very irritable, and disrespectful! My nephew became very upset and put this young man in his place.

I rented a uhaul for pickup from TOUCH OF BLOSSOMS, 205 S HANCOCK ST, FORT GAINES, GA 39851, (229) 768-****. There was no equipment that I ordered, no one answered the phone, no one was at the business, and the uhaul trucks were not even there.
We found them 2+ hours later a few blocks away after asking around and being harassed by 3 officers for "fitting a description" on March 22nd. I had to call multiple times to change my reservation time which was also pleasant. It was a huge pain that caused me to pay almost $200 to extend my rental car that I was planning on returning that night and could have been a lot worse with 3 bored sauced up officers instigating conflict. Experience was super stressful.
Owner could have easily left a message on the phone number provided or business description/location part of his uhaul page where he hid the trucks and that equipment will not be included.
I have reached out to the regional office they said I would get a call back but heard nothing yet. I would like this documented for the next poor soul to happen upon this place and compensation for my time and equipment that was not provided.

The store treated my wife extremely, rude and refused to wait upon her. The older clerk passed my wife off to a younger customer service rep and refused to even hand my wife the paper work.
He gave her a dirty look and walked away. My wife is a Filipina. I had just spent $170 and rented a unit to have my wife treated like this?

I called U-Haul during the day shift hours and requested a rental on a truck and a trailer gave the destination where I was going and the return to U-Haul and ask how much that would be could you figure it up for me she said yes give me a second she' I was ask for the information and location to location by the first shift employee she came back with an estimated round trip miles of 55 truck and trailer it would be 120 I said good I'll be out to pick him up get out there and evidently we are on shift change second shift and this girl was rude not very courteous with the words and very evasive towards the customer snotty and then she preaches to pick up my debit card debit card guess look at it handed it to me and told me that that 120 is going to 145 and then 145 is going to 175 because of a prepaid card be a prepaid when it says debit right on it and she's too busy punching numbers in to get things done knowing this that employee was very rude that employee was very dignant and if you ask me that employee was racist okay I'm trying to keep myself calm but I do not appreciate people treating me other than I treat them and I was respectful to the point polite and kill she did that and I said no I'm not want it it went from 120 to 145 to 175 and it's a debit card and I'm reporting you to corporate okay I will not use that store ever again thank you very much I just wanted to let it be known

We did use the u-haul for our move from townsite, Nanaimo, BC first and last time. Worst experience ever.
We were treated very poorly. Just because we had to use u-haul for 2 days(booked for 1 day but there was an emergency so we needed it for 2 days).
I had texted them that I would need it for 2nd day as well. The person who was dealing with us got furious and said they would charge us $100 per hour if we didnt return it in next hour or so. He seems a senior person so I tried to be as polite as I could.
But he continued disrespecting and then u-haul charged us total $242 when it supposed to be less then $110. I tried to ask for help very politely but that same person keep being disrespectful and treating us poorly. He returned only $32 back. I asked him to explain the charges then he got mad and said you would not get a single penny from u-haul and suggested to go to Budget next time.
Sir, I am not asking to pay me from u-haul pocket.
I just asked to return the overcharged amount or give an explanation of the charges.
Dont waste your time and money!
Would never recommend u-haul to anyone. Budget is the best rental company where I never had any issues and they always treated us nicely and with respect.

I need a refund for my time and patience. If I messed up like this for my customers they would not pay me.
I called in and 1-24-25 at 1:15pm requested a trailer wiring job on my sprinter van when the guy had the parts in hand to do the job and scheduled me for 7 am In -7 degrees, total cost $250 so I showed up and Vincent the manager looked at me like I was stupid? Well I had the phone call and number identified after he said are you sure you called here?
Yes idiot I picked my phone up and redialed the store again and yes it was his number, so he still acted like he doesnt know anything or know who worked yesterday and took my reservation. So I said it must be your problem you dont know anything, so he then said it wasnt going to happen and he doesnt even know if he has parts?
So again I said the guy yesterday had them know hand, and started to *** me off and he didnt like be reprimanded by the customer because he is an idiot. So he said it was gonna be $650 now so I told him repeatedly to *** and give me the materials and I will do it myself.
