I rented a Uhaul tow dolly to tow my car from Illinois to Phoenix, Arizona. During the trip, I pulled into a gas station and as you can see from the pics, the tire on the tow dolly on the drivers said went right into the side of my brand new car.

I didn't even have 4,000 miles on it! As you can see from the pics the straps were on as well as the chains. Rep West denied my claim stating that they found no negligence on the part of any Uhaul employee. Wtf?!

During my back and forth with them they said they need to investigate and inspect the trailer.

So which is it negligence or faulty equipment? It's obviously faulty equipment because my car got damaged.

" It's obviously faulty equipment because my car got damaged. "

Not so obvious from the case you have presented.

What about the other side ?

Did you or anyone else measure the front wheel clearance ?

I don't think much of your idea of dragging your wide bodied new car on a cheap pair of U-Haul wheels behind a large rented truck halfway across the country.
