U hauls problem starts at the very top. Joe Shoen, the CEO. He does not care about anyone, not his customers, not his employees, no one. He is in it for the money. His senior management is lead by example. They have no accountability, not to their customers or their employees. Why do I say this ? Just try complaining. The corporate number is 602 263- 6011. Double check your credit card when cancelling from these guys, even after explicitely telling them to cancel my order when I called them and triplechecking with th lady asking if I'd get charged at all because I had ordered some boxes onlineand her telling me everything was cancelled. Now I have been jumping through hoops trying to get my money back and getting re-directes over and over again to 4 different phone numbers. I guess they expect... Read more

OMG, Havent even got the truck yet and have several issues. After making a reservation in advance, they call me the day defore to tell me lm not getting the truck needed nor the pickup location. I have to drive a hour yo pickup truck. They claim the location i selected dont have any trucks at all. Well im at that location the truckd ate line up. I believe they use the customer to move trucks to where they need them. Read more

Uhaul, absolutely the worst rental experience we have had. We booked A 15' Truck on Aug 4 for a one way out of town move. Upon Arrival Aug 31st we were told we were being given a 10' truck and 4x8 trailer. Not even close to what we had booked. I was mad, and said so. This was the by far worst business experience I've ever had! They (Joplin U-Haul) would not let me have my u-boxes for over a week because they were "too busy" as they said. When I finaly was allowed to pick up my U box, it had been obviously opened by the Joplin emplyees, and many things were missing. There is an option that customers can chose if they want the insurance or not. I specifically told Melini McFarland at the Clarkston ga northern ave Uhaul location that I wanted to chose the "reimburse Uhaul for damages option(if applicable).." Ms. McFarland stated to me"...Insurance policy number?.." Because I did not have auto insurance of my own she suggested that I pay $10.00 per day for the Uhaul insurance that I did not ask for. RENTED ON AUGUST 26 A 17 FOOT TRUCK IN BAILEY , CO TO GO TO TUCSON,AZ. WAS ONLY GIVING 687 MILES HOWEVER THE SHORTEST WAY WAS 791 MILES. THIS INCLUDED SHORT OF 4 DAYS IN LOADING AND UNLOADING AND BRING IT TO THE LOCATION INDICATED. I WAS CHARGED FOR THE ADDITIONAL MILES OVER AND BROUGHT THE TRUCK BACK 3 HOURS LATER THAN THE CONTRACT AND WAS CHARGED IN ADDITION. Wrost customer service, apache sands , you should never use this location. And wacth out for there.( Uhaul e list ) .if you get put on this u haul wont rent to you ag a !!!!!!!

I rented a U-Haul truck to move my daughter from Ontario to Nova Scotia in the summer during a heat wave. The truck I was given had an air conditioner but it wasn't working. I had to travel most of the trip with the windows down. The trip was noisy and very uncomfortable. I contacted U-Haul twice after the trip to voice my complaint but no one returned my messages.
