I ordered a trailer hitch on the 11th and paid $68 for 1-2 day shipping. It came 14 days later. When I did get it, it came all scraped up and I have to repaint it. The wiring harness box came opened and I don't event know if everything I need is in the box. I called to complain to Michelle Bowman at U-Haul and she told me that she cannot control what FedEx does and that she was sorry the package... Read more

I've refrained from blasting UHAUL , but our moving ordeal has been a nightmare and it still isn't over. To top off all the BS we dealt with ( trust me there was plenty) they failed to close out my contract when I returned the truck, they subsequently rented it to someone else who took it to Gulfport MS. The MS UHAUL then closed out my contract , but they charged my company card $426.13 for late... Read more

Bought two U-Haul locks in Austin, TX for my personal trailer because they seemed to provide an extra level of security. Tried to unload trailer in Brownsville, TX and one lock will not open; cylinder turned slightly but bolt was frozen solid. Don't have the tools or access space to cut lock off. We rented a auto trans porter from uhaul, a uhaul employee hooked it up for us and as we where unloading the vehicle in tow the hitch popped off and slammed into the back o the Tahoe . Causing 1000 dollars damage. We purchased the safetow insurance... what a joke we sent in all documentation just to get a denial. Ubox Uhaul is an extremely poor way to move. What they post on their website, or promised verbally by the GM of the Bayshore location, and promised is not what I as a consumer received. Our Ubox order was placed late by the SF location, to a 3rd party mover. We dropped our boy on 7/11. The 3rd party movers said they didn't get a contract from Uhaul till 7/16. I reserved a tow dolly with a card online but wanted to pay with a different form of payment.....after having multiple issues with my reservation and scheduling they also charged my card as well as accepting my cash payment....so I paid twice for one use....I have contacted Uhaul directly multiple times and am still waiting again for a call back from the area field rep.....will never use this... First Time - 2 years ago- we booked a 14' truck. showed up, they only gave us a cargo van. We let it slide, even though we had to make multiple trips adding mileage. Should have learned. Reserved a truck. The day before pickup, I was informed that I needed to pick it up over an hour away from my location. This is unacceptable, they have no available truck in my area and they misrepresented the situation. Read more

I rented a u-haul pod to be shipped cross country, got a call the weekend I was supposed to pick it up, saying that there had been a mistake and my pod was delivered to the wrong location.
